Where My Towel Is12/14/2004 12:02:52 AM

I am Richard Schwartz, and this is my web log.  It's where my towel is.  My towel used to be in
my old web log.

Don't get the "towel" references?  See
here.  Better yet, read The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, by Douglas Adams.

I was a founder of
RHS Consulting Inc., which is located in Nashua, NH, USA.  I am a technology consultant, specializing in IBM Lotus Notes and Domino.  Good thing, too, since RHS Consulting Inc. was in fact a technology consulting company, specializing in IBM Lotus Notes and Domino.  I am now a software engineer for Hewlett Packard, working on the Domino version of HP's Reference Information Manager for Messaging.

I use this blog to record some of my opinions, experiences, and anything else I feel like putting in here for people to see. Why? Because Lotus Notes and Domino were the first massively adopted computer software product that truly began to realize the potential for improving the way people collaborate.  I've spent most of the last ten years in the business of advising companies about collaboration technology and helping them implement collaborative computing environments. I am a blogger in order to participate in the evolution of blogging technology and other types of "Social Software", which I believe complement the Lotus Notes and Domino model in several very interesting and useful ways.
