Another Laptop Power Failure A while back I wrote up the story of my laptop's power adapter woes. To misquote the Gipper: Well... Here we go again! This time it was my fault, pure and simple. I was packing up my laptop for a quick trip to a meeting, and I accidentally stepped on the connector at the end of the cable. Crushed it. Plastic broken in two. Miraculously, the wires stayed almost intact, so I was able to plug in for a while. I plugged in long enough to order a new AC adapter, then shut down. Made it through the meeting on battery, but now I'm working on my desktop, until Mr. UPS arrives with a package for me tomorrow.
