Drivers Yeah... I know I've not been posting even though I said I was going to get back into it. This time I really mean it ;-)
Let's start with a pet peeve. It happens to me at least once a week and it drives me crazy. I'm driving on local roads and I come to an intersection.. It's a "T" intersection. I'm on the vertical part of the T. I've got a stop sign. The main road is the horizontal part of the T, and there is no stop sign there for either direction. Some yokel on the main road wants to make a turn into the street that I'm turning out of, but s/he stops. S/he waves to me to go. Wrong!!!!! Moron!!!! You have the right of way! I have a Stop Sign! You don't yield to me! You're blocking traffic! You're gonna get yourself rear-ended! Stopping on a main road for "courtesy" to someone on a side street is ok when there's congested slow-moving traffic on the main road and you want to give the guy on the side street a chance to turn in, but it is just plain dangerous otherwise. Don't do it!!!!
I just had to get that off my chest. Thanks for listening ;-)
On the same subject, driving, I have some news. Well, it's actually a totally different subject even though it's still driving ;-) The UPS man brought me my new Callaway Big Bertha II/410 driver yesterday, and I took it out for it's first trial on the driving range this morning. It ain't a magic wand, but it shows great promise. I need to adjust my swing a bit to account for the larger clubhead size, and also to account for the fact that, well... my swing sucks ;-)
I have a post in the works about selective replication. Should come soon, I hope. I'll give you a hint about the general tone of the post though... Evil! It's evil! Don't touch it!
