Dry Run Of My Social Software Presentation I did a presentation at the local Notes and Domino User Group meeting this evening. It was essentially a dry run of a talk that I'm scheduled to give in London next month at the Groupware Magazin Admin & Developer UK conference. The topic is "Social Software - Fad, Or Business Tools For Domino Users?" Although the presentation is based on material on blogging technology that I did at the same conference last year, it's a good thing I had this opportunity to do a dry run, because even though I cut a substantial number of slides on blogging to make room for new material about Wikis, Social Networking, and other areas of interest in Social Software, I went waaaaaay overtime. I'm going to need to do a lot of cutting and reorganizing to make the presentation crisp and to the point. One of the great things about doing a dry run in front of a real audience is that I got to ask them which parts to cut, and they gave me some great feedback.
