Email Downtime

According to this story, a research outfit has concluded that people get really upset when their email system goes down. I don't think that's much of a surprise, but I guess I'm glad someone studied it. Sounds like a pretty good gig, actually... studying the blatantly obvious in order to quantify it. Maybe I'll do a study about the stress levels caused by instant messenger and blog downtime. OTOH, perhaps IM uptime is more stressful than downtime!...
