I Still Call Them Beacon Awards They're officially "Lotus Awards" now, but I still call them Beacons because that's what they were when I won one in January 1995. Harrumph! But the real news is that fellow Penumbra Group member Mark Ramos of Granite Software has won a Beacon award for his spamJam product. This is just the latest in a series of awards for that product by the way, and it is also Granite's second Beacon. (They won in 1997 for ZMerge, too.) Here's the IBM press release about the Lotus Awards.
Another winner, by the way, is fellow Domino blogger Carl Tyler's firm Instant Technologies for their Instant Agent Framework product.
Congratulations to all of this year's winners!
