See this announcement of schedulded downtime. I think we need to give this as broad coverage as possible over the next few days, so that fewer people will be caught unawares when the site is down. I can imagine how the rumors will fly if most people don't get the wrod. For other rumors, I'll be keeping my ear to the ground to try to find out why a four day power outage has been planned, and why no continutiy plan was put in place to keep service running despite whatever power-related work must be done.
