More Googles Yesterday, I listed some of the Google searches that have shown up in my referer logs. I was following Tom's example. Ben did the same, and Carolyn followed Ben. I only listed a few, though. Everybody else listed more, and I'm feeling like I shortchanged everyone. So, here are a few more of the search strings that people are using,... linked to the articles they are finding:
frozen pot stickers... I mention them once, and I get at least one hit every day. Now it's twice. Maybe I'll get more hits. -
what does ssl stand for..., I was getting so many hits on this, leading to my tongue-in-cheek article that I figured I'd better also publish a serious article. -
I Hate Lotus Domino... I was doing some research to find out specific reasons why some people say they "hate Lotus Notes", and I found one of my own articles for Advisor at the top of the search results simply because the article's title was "Workarounds: A Love-Hate Relationship", the article mentioned Lotus Notes and Domino, and Advisor has a decent page rank. I blogged about this, so of course now I've got two of the top listings for that search! -
I was thinking of setting up a blog for my older daugher. I didn't, but not because I decided it was a bad idea. She beat me to it. She set up her own on a free blog hosting site. I just bought her a digital camera for her birthday, however, so I might set something up for her now since the site she's using only supports text.
And now for some of the weird ones:
padlock genii... Ben, is there something we should know about?
litton class action... beware of this, Joe!
clubless golf... I'm a bad golfer, but I'm not that bad, am I?
RHS Call centre....Obviously I mis-spelled "center" in one of my posts. I've found several spelling errors while reviewing my google strings. The person doing this search was probably looking for the Royal Horticultural Society. I get one or two emails a month at my company's general address from people looking for advice about how to care for their exotic plants.
Mr Barry White email contacts.... Someone who "can't get enough of your email, baby"?
rocky oliver insurance.... in case of LotusGeek, break glass?
