My Lotusphere Tips Go To Eleven

This will be my 11th Lotusphere, so I think I have a right to add my two cents to Rocky's, Julian's and Ben's tips... not to mention Gonzo. Oh wait, I guess I mentioned it. Go there if you haven't yet. It's great!

Tip #1: Spend as much time as you can over the next two days sleeping, becuase you won't get much from Sunday through Thursday. (Saturday if you attend the ESPN gathering.)

Tip #2: Bring two pairs of comfortable shoes and alternate. And buy two pairs of Dr. Scholl's Air-Cushion Insoles, too.

Tip #3: Every hotel room I've ever stayed in in Orlando is terribly dry. Be sure to take some spring water up to the room. It's not like you're going to spend a lot of time there, but you will dehydrate in a matter of just a few hours when you do.

Tip #4: You can't buy chewing gum anywhere on Disney property. You can't buy chewing gum in the Orlando airport. If you chew gum to help equalize pressure in your ears during flights, buy enough before your flight to Orlando to last you for the fligth home.

Tip #5: If you stay one extra day, spend it at EPCOT Center. If you stay two extra days, consider spending both at EPCOT Center.

Tip #6: Read my blogs on LDD during Lotusphere. No, I don't know the exact URL they will be using yet. I presume it will be linked from here. Here are my postings from last year:

OK... That's not so much a tip as it is a blatant plug ;-) I imagine that there will be many people blogging from Lotusphere.

Tip #7: Don't try to do everything. You can't. You won't. Get over it.

Tip #8: Have fun. Otherwise making it through the week will seem too much like hard work.

Tip #9: Blog if you must, but don't read blogs. Sure, there's high-speed access all over the place, but you're at Lotusphere! You've got more than enough to do. Catch up with your reading afterward.

Tip #10: Take a soft-sided suitcase, fold it up, and pack it inside the bigger suitcase that you bring your clothes in. Use it to carry home all your loot from the show floor.

Tip #11: Before you leave for Lotusphere 2004, throw out all the brochures you picked up at Lotusphere 2003 but never actually touched after you unpacked them. (If you even unpacked them!)
