ND6 Bible's Amazon Sales Rank Spurred on by Duffbert's review of the ND6 Bible, I happened to go to Amazon a little while ago. Written by Rocky Oliver and Brian Benz, with some chapters contributed by yours truly, the Notes and Domino 6 Programming Bible was published last May, and I was surpised to find that the "sales rank" listed on Amazon's ND6 Bible page is 1179. Out of curiosity, I compared that to the Amazon sales rank of a number of other books. This is what I found:
What does this mean? I don't know. Nothing, perhaps. Overall, the Amazon figures for any given book at any given time will depend on a lot of things, like publication date, number of other books covering the same subject, or availability on the shelves of local or national chain bookstores. I haven't been following the numbers on a week-by-week basis, so I don't know if the ND6 Bible's figures are spiked higher than normal this week, which it easily could be for any number of reasons.
Still, it's kind of satisfying to see a booj that I contributed to beating the pants off a whole lot of J2EE, Websphere, and Exchange books ;-)
