NH Primary Season - Invitation To Meet Senator Kerry

I just received an invitation to meet Senator John Kerry in the home of a local resident here in Nashua. I'd definitely go to this event if I could. This is exactly what the New Hampshire Primary experience is all about: the chance for ordinary citizens to meet national candidates in a very personal setting. This could only happen in a small state with an early primary, and it's just about the only thing keeping US politics from degenerating completely into a television-only campaign of sound bites. It's almost gotten to that point, but I hope that it never gets there completely. Unfortunately, I'll miss this opportunity to participate in the political process, because as I mentioned yesterday, I'll be in London.

While finding the link above, I noticed that the Kerry campaign has followed the lead of Dean, Kucinich and Edwards in maintaining a Kerry campaign blog, with an RSS feed, no less! I'll add it to my list of political blogs on the blogroll.
