NH Primary Update: The Ballot Is In The Mail Canvassers for Kerry and Dean visited within the past 48 hours. Our former New Hampshire Governor called (on tape) to invite me to a rally for Kerry this morning, but it was at 7 AM. The results from Iowa were very interesting, but I decided not to let them influence my decision. I'm glad Kerry has gotten momentum, but even though I don't support Dean I'm also glad that he's got enough money in the campaign fund to keep on going. I'm beginning to like very much the idea of the race being close all the way to the convention, and so I'd like to see someone other than Kerry win New Hampshire. I'd rather it not be Dean, though. Someone else should get an early boost to help their financing. All of these comments are strategically oriented, rather than being about my preference, and as I said in an earlier post, I'd rather that election strategy not enter into my decision -- or the decision process as a whole, but fortunately it doesn't. The candidate that I cast my absentee ballot for is in fact the one who I believe would be the strongest candidate as well as the candidate whose platform I agree with the most. Gotta leave the suspense going for a bit longer though, so I'm not telling yet ;-)
