No Relation, But I Agree

The writer of this letter to the editor of the New York Times shares my name, but I can say for assurance that we're not related since the last name of "Schwartz" goes back only two generations in my family and I know all my living relatives with that name; but I share his opinion. Although I respect, to some extent, the ideas about the Israeli security fence in David Makovsky's recent article in Foreign Affairs, I can't help but think about "Mr. Gorbachev: tear down this wall!", and recognize that if the Berlin wall was an international disgrace, surely this new one must be one too.
