Based on the feedback I received from the last post I did on this topic, I'll post some of my favorite Notes/Domino design bits, based on work done by others. Since these things are readily available on the Web, many designers might already know about them. But if not, here they are.
This week I'll rave about OpenLog. This application is available through OpenNTF (www.OpenNTF.org). It is an easy-to-use error and event logging application. I've been using it for about a year (since Christopher Byrne mentioned it in his Lotusphere 2005 presentation). It has saved me tons of hours in debugging and troubleshooting time. Julian Robichaux is the chef for this, and has done a stunning job.
For all my scheduled LotusScript agents, I log the event so I can document the agent ran, how many documents it processed, and so forth. If I need to prove the agent ran, there's the proof. For all my LotusScript agents, I log errors so that I can identify where the agent failed and what the error was. The help documentation for OpenLog explains this in great detail.
It handles JavaScript agents, too.

Is there a better simple application out there? It does such a nice job of helping me debug my agents and keep an eye on my environment without having to retool everything. And the best part is that it keeps every thing in one central location.

I have to agree. OpenLog is a great tool for any Notes/Domino organization.

You say it "handles Javascript agents, too"? Do you mean Java agents, because I don't see any Javascript functionality?
Thanks!

Error mine; I meant "Java", not "Javascript". Thanks!
